He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Flora Mae Burgin and Ervin C. McNeely of Hildebran; his foster parents, Homer Bain Evans and Zelda Burgin Evans of Hildebran; his brother Harry B. Evans; his wife Linda Teague McNeely of Hildebran; his children, Julie Pierce (Bud) of Hildebran, Todd McNeely (Jennifer) of Newton and Mechele McCormack (Robert) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Cameron Pierce (Hayley), Caroline Pierce, Brandon Pierce (Erica), Kaleigh McCormack, Connor McCormack, Kassidy McCormack, Alexandria McNeely and Stephanie Peek; his great grandchildren, Campbell and Ansley Pierce; and his sisters, Faye Evans High of Tempe, AZ, Gaye Evans Sipe of Hildebran, Hilda Evans Stephens of Hildebran and Brenda Evans Erich of Hildebran. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
