He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lynn Emmett, Patricia Emmett Autrey, Freda Jean Emmett and Neajlynn Emmett. He is survived by: his siblings, Carolyn Emmett Wilcox (Stephen) of Hickory, Sue Emmett Williams (David) of Hickory and William Emmett (Frances) of Vale; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Emmett of Hickory and Jimmy Autrey of Hickory. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
