He was predeceased by: his brother Tom Wood. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Trivette Wood; his children, Joey F. Wood of Lenoir, Jeff Smith (Lorrie) of Lenoir, Ricky Wood of Hildebran, Mikael Smith of Collettsville, Crystal Church (Romey) of Granite Falls and Ann Oakley (Daniel Turner) of Hudson; and his siblings, Albert Wood (Ella) of Granite Falls, Gene Wood of Lenoir, Rosalee Myers of Chesapeake Bay, MD, Mabel Turnmire, Pat White and Vicky Bradshaw of Granite Falls. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
