He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Hamlett and Pearlie Combs Hamlett; and his sons, Alvin Wallace Hamlett, Jr. and Anthony Hamlett. He is survived by: his wife Margie Wagner Hamlett; his children, Allen Hamlett, Wendy Nugent, Sharon Salmon and Chris Hamlett; and his siblings, Arnold Wade Hamlett, Violet Husketh, Carol Palmer and Kathy Wyrick. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
