She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Douglas and Leona Horner Hicks; her husband Ray Hendrix; and her stepdaughter Kathy Hendrix Dickerson. She is survived by: her brother Tommy Hicks; her stepsons, Rick Hendrix (Melanie), David Hendrix (Donna), Timothy and Barry Hendrix; her stepgrandchildren, Kevin Hendrix, Tiffany, Chris Hendrix, Jesse, Ryan Hoots, Bobby, Magan Carter, Richard, Josh Hendrix, Angie Dickerson Cottingham, Todd and Jerry Dickerson Jr.; and her close friends, Danny and Gloria Freshwater. She is also survived by 16 Step-Great-Grandchildren; 2 Nieces; a Nephew; 7 Grand-Nieces/Nephews; and 14 Great-Grand-Nieces/Nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Baptist Church (5100 W Ten Rd, Efland, NC 27243).
