He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Sharpe and Kathleen Sharpe. He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Iris Eudy Sharpe; his children, David Sharpe Sr. (Amanda), Timothy Sharpe (Lisa), Penny White and Gregory White; his grandchildren, David Jr., Richard (Raine), Sadie Ashton and Jacob; his sibling Jackie Sharpe Johnson; his cousin Becky Dickerson Gaskins (Alan); and his sisters, Linda Sharpe Faircloth, Louise Sharpe Turnage, Sybil Sharpe Gandy and Joyce Sharpe Bailey "Teeny".
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Holly Ridge (207 N Dyson St, Holly Ridge, NC 28445). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Baptist Church (198 Sneads Ferry Rd, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460).
