She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Blanco; and her parents, Verna Reichard Kennedy and Thomas Kennedy. She is survived by: her daughters, Mindy Ponti (John Ponti) and Maria Weisel (Paul Weisel); her grandchildren, Nick Weisel (Alicia), Chris Weisel (Matt Finley), Melissa Weisel (Aaron Ponticiello), Alexa Ponti and Taylor Ponti; her great grandchildren, Ciera and Gabe; and her great great grandchildren, Mia and Marcus.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Surf City, NC. Donations can be made online or by mail.
