It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Hockaday of Holly Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Hockaday and Alma Hockaday; his wife Kathryn Goss Hockaday; his daughters, Diane Hockaday and Charlotte Hockaday; and his sister Inez Durham.

He is survived by : his sisters, Jene Dunham (Billy) and Faye Blackburn (Carl); his daughter Sharon Aiken (JW); his grandchildren, Kelly Maddox (Ken), Korey Hatch (Christie), Joey Hatch (Christy) and Natalie Chase (Dave); his great grandchildren, Ryan, Grace, Ethan, Trevor, Lucas and Grady; and his grandchildren, Aiden and Conner.
