He was predeceased by: his parents, Hogan Hurst and Lillie Mae Hurst; his wife Beverly Hurst; and his brother Sherrill Hurst. He is survived by: his stepson Anson Miller (Janet) of Hubert; his grandson Christopher Miller (Kaylee) of Hubert; his sister Donna Kay Smith (Randy) of Texas; and his sibling's children, Todd, Jerry, Scott, Derek, Sara, April and Brett.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bear Creek Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 116 Great Neck Landing Rd, Hubert, NC 28539.
