It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emma Kay Sims of Hubert, North Carolina, who passed away on September 4, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clovas Shelby (Buck) and Myrle Marie Hammond; her grandson Nathan Polk; and her brothers, Kenneth Ray Hammond and Shelby Lee Hammond.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Lee of Hubert and Lee A. Polk, Jr. of Hubert; her stepdaughters, Tina Morris (Sonny) of Alabama and Amanda Lee (Blake) of Alabama; her siblings, Mavis Gay Sheffel of Mississippi, Bradley Allen Hammond of Indiana and Daniel Hammond of Mississippi; and her half-siblings, Mary Marlene Metz (Silas) of Indiana and Fred Hammond of Indiana. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local no kill pet shelter.
