He is survived by: his parent Elsie Mae Earhart Rush; his wife Diane Shelhamer Rush; his daughter Kathryn Chandler (Joseph) of Madison, IN; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ann Rush of Swansboro; his grandchildren, Frank Christopher Rush, Whittney Michelle Denton (Josh), Alyssa Karen Brawner (Ray) and Jordan Rand Chandler; his great grandchildren, Taylor Anne Rush, Shawn Michael Rush, Meghan Elizabeth Miller and Walton Allen Brawner; his niece Jessica W. Shellhamer (Nick) of Winston-Salem; and his nephew Ross Shellhamer of Belfour, MD..
