It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Rhodes (Hudson, North Carolina), born in Collettsville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Summie Rhodes and Amanda Rader Rhodes; and his siblings, Dewey Rhodes, Bynum Rhodes, Summie Rhodes, Maggie Setzer, Mary Hart and Georgia Crump.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Enloe Rhodes; his children, Duane Rhodes and Debbie Rhodes Blake (Bob); his grandchildren, Traci Rhodes Waters and Dustin Rhodes; his close friends, Roy Barnwell, Clarence Beane and Wayne Bolick; his nieces, Cindy Cox and Lynda Vitsyn; his brother-in-law Harold Enloe; and his grandsons, Jeremy Rhodes, Joshua Austin, Casey Austin, Jon Rhodes, Isaac Waters and Nicky Waters.
