He was predeceased by : his parents, Joris Hoogendoorn and Blanche Hoogendoorn; his wife Lois; and his siblings, June and Joris.

He is survived by : his children, Gwendolyn, Arie (Elizabeth) and Jessica (Christopher); his children-in-law, Elizabeth and Christopher; his grandchildren, Christian, James, Katie and Annabelle (Connie); his brother Russell (Diane); and his siblings-in-law, Judy and Ben. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
