He was predeceased by: his parents, Iola M. Christian and Charles R. Helbing; and his siblings, Chuck and Sue Dauer. He is survived by: his sister Debbie French; his children, Alan David and Terry Ann; his granddaughter Grace Louise; his wife Kim; his daughter Denise; his son-in-law Chandler; his grandsons, Austin (Taylor) and Brendan; his great grandchild Salem Joy; and his brothers, Tom and David.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Command Sergeant Major Theodore "Ted" Helbing's memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
