He was predeceased by: his parent Lonnie Hyde; and his sister Patsy Hyde Hildreth. He is survived by: his mother Ruby Hyde; his girlfriend Mary Jay; his children, Shannon Carson (Brad) and Shane (Maria); his siblings, Wade (Kimberly), Billy (Michelle) and Vickie Starnes (Pat); his children, Jody Forbes (Steve) and Tripp Jay (Cassie); his grandchildren, Zachary Kopka (Klorissa), Jordan Kopka, Landon Jay and Abigail Jay; and his great grandchild Aubrey Kopka. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Et Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church (6701 Pleasant Grove Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
