Cathy Canterbury Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy Canterbury of Indian Trail, North Carolina, born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Lester Gannon and Mary Elva Taylor Gannon; her brother-in-law Charles Garton; and her nephew Richard Garton. She is survived by : her husband Robert "Bob" Allen Canterbury; her children, Cindy Putney (Tom) of Poland, NY and Mark Canterbury (Jamie) of Tampa, Florida; her grandchildren, Carissa Parker (Nathan), Caroline Ahrens (Drew), Lydia Hussey (Paul), Abigail Putney, Ian Barclay, Maggie Barclay, Ashlynn Canterbury and Bryce Canterbury; her great grandchildren, William Parker, Charlotte Parker, Emmaline Parker, Titus Ahrens, Keziah Ahrens and Rosemary Ahrens; and her sister Mary Carolyn Garton.
Committal will be in the Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens. (due to COVID, social distancing and masks are strongly encouraged).
In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to be sent to Faith Children's Village in Zambia, Africa, where her friend Brian Cameon teaches.
