We are sad to announce that on December 26, 2023, at the age of 84, Joan Sweatt Funderburk of Indian Trail, North Carolina, born in Lancaster, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Leslie Sweatt and Juanita Driver Sweatt; her husband James Donald Funderburk; and her sister Cindy Cheek. She is survived by : her children, Jimmy Funderburk (Vickie) of Indian Trail, Donna Miller (Wayne) of Concord and Kristen Hinson (Steve) of Indian Trail; her siblings, William Sweatt (Dianne) of Lancaster, Sonny Sweatt of Pittsburg, PA and Patsy Grubbs (Bob) of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Candice Holley, Cameron Funderburk (Kayla), Evan Miller (Deangelo Alexander), Dayne Miller (Andrea) and Lauren Wallace (Josh). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
