He is survived by: his wife Valerie Starnes of Stallings; his children, Matthew Starnes of Stallings and Sheridan Starnes (Matthew Smith) of Indian Trail; his sisters, Brenda Daniels (Tom) of Indian Trail and Kathie Crump of Waxhaw; and his great-nieces, Ava, Alexa and Aria Jameson.
