She was predeceased by : her parents, Lester James Mullis and Cleonis Pigg Mullis; her husband Jeffrey Luther Black; and her siblings, Vasker, Lance, Basil Mullis and Audie Ferguson.

She is survived by : her daughters, Sandra Black of Indian Trail, NC and Deborah Blair (Tim) of Indian Trail, NC; her grandchildren, Jeff Wallace (Carla), Tracy Baucom (Devin), Nicky Wallace (Shelly) and Talia Blair; her great grandchildren, Timothy Wallace (Jacqueline), Rebekah Baucom, Jordan Wallace, Emmaline Wallace and Mikayla Baucom; and her brother Brooks Mullis (Catherine). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
