He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Murray Francis Rigsby and Joyce Elaine Cook Rigsby; his wife Beth Rigsby; his children, Jamie Todd (Brent), Andrew Ostrom (Julia), Abigail Foley (Alex) and Amanda Rigsby; his grandchildren, Jackson, Bentson, Jameson Todd, Everett and Oliver Ostrom; and his siblings, Susan Rigsby-Stein (family: Steve Rigsby) and Stacy Boesel (Gary).

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services - Matthews Chapel (3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104). A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home (3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Scott's memory--a cause close to his heart, though not related to his passing.
