With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jo Aiken of Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on November 23, 2020. She was predeceased by : her parents, Zebulon Mathis and Sally Mathis; her husband Colie Aiken; and her siblings, Conley, Dillard, Denton Mathis, Ellen, Ruth and Irene.

She is survived by : her son Chester Allen Mathis (Patty) of Cullowhee; her grandsons, Joshua Mathis (Nicole) of Franklin and Jacob Mathis of Cullowhee; her great grandchild Colton Mathis; and her siblings, Claude of Cullowhee, Tom Mathis of Cullowhee and Bessie Ammons (RL) of Sylva Due.

Her sister- Bessie (RL) Ammons of Sylva Due to the Covid 19 the family has chosen to have a Graveside Service 2:00 pm Friday afternoon November 27, 2020 at Balsam Grove Cemetery on Caney Fork. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
