She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruster Lanier and Flora Lanier; her husband Leamon Wooten; and her brother Carlton Lanier (Peggy). She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Evans (Terry) of Jacksonville, NC and Ronda Mills of Jacksonville, NC; her grandchildren, Kimberly Mack (Layne) of Wilmington, NC, Samantha Mao (Yuxuan) of Richmond, VA, Matthew Evans (Haley) of Wilmington, NC and Rachel Coleman (Chris) of Leland, NC; her great grandchildren, Fiona Mack, Oliver Coleman, Kyra Coleman and Paxton Mao; and her siblings, Alton Lanier, Barden Lanier (Phoebe) and Faye Russ (John).
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pineland Presbyterian Church (205 King Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Onslow Memorial Park (3280 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
