She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Scull and Harry Helmick; her husband Charles Ray Tackett; her sisters, Louise Dunn and Mary Shaw; and her son Charles Ray Tackett Jr..
She is survived by: her son Michael Tackett.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Sunday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Monday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540).
