With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leaneau Owens Jr. of Jacksonville, North Carolina, born in Mullins, South Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leaneau Owens, Sr. and Elease Wrighten Owens; his son Timothy "TJ" Owens; his son-in-law Scott Garig; and his sisters, Lila Poole and Linda Owens.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Owens (Trina) of Sneads Ferry, Crystal Hochstrasser (Steve) of Jacksonville, Michael Owens (Laurie) of Jacksonville and Vicki Garig of Norwood, LA; and his siblings, Ann Browning of Mt Clemments, MI, Dianne Owens of Mt Clemments, MI, Janet Favors of Mt Clemments, MI, Ida Robinson of Mt Clemments, MI and Wilson Owens. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
