She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Col. Stephen L. Sayko; her sons, Neal Richard Cole and Brian Thomas Cole; her daughters-in-law, Samantha Cole (Kinney) and Annabella Cole (Benfield); her grandchildren, Brady, Riley, Adrianna and Cierra Cole; and her parents, John Smoot and Joanna Smoot (Neal).
Visitation was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Monday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A memorial service was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Living Hope Community Church, 1310 Hargett St Jacksonville, NC, the Onslow County Chapter of the American Cross, or any other charity of your choice.
