She was predeceased by: her parents, Lacy Humphrey and Prudie Humphrey; her husband Sammy Ray Matthews; her sons, Willie Earl Baysden Jr. and Roger Lane Baysden; and her siblings, Ruth Stevens, Creasy Ramsey, Christine Williams, Cecil Humphrey and Billy Humphrey.
She is survived by: her niece Shannon Whaley (Robbie) of Richlands, NC; her sisters, Linda Whaley (Cecil) of Richlands, NC, Betty Mae Brinson (Merwin) of Richlands, NC and Marie Sloan of Wilmington, NC; her children, Jesse Bayden and Edna Baysden; and her stepson Ray Matthews (Anisa) of Leasburg, NC. She is also survived by several extended family and friends.
