He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Fritter and Regina Fritter; and his son Richard Allen Fritter. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Vernell Fritter; his children, William Charles Fritter, Jr. (Sherry), Steven Michael Fritter (Eyvonne), Christine Fritter Williams (Donald), Debra Fritter Flohr, Ronald Scott Fritter and Theresa Fritter Zimmerman (Scott); and his daughter-in-law Lorraine Blake Fritter of Jacksonville, NC. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Sunday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville Monday (303 Chaney Ave, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (110 Montford Landing Rd, Jacksonville, NC 28540). A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
