She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles William Chesson and Mary Chambers Chesson; her husband Everett Lynwood Mebane; and her stepson Michael Scearce. She is survived by: her sons, Kerry Mebane of Williamston, NC and Shawn Mebane (Rhonda) of Jamesville, NC; her grandchildren, Hillary Suyat (Rudy), Hunter Mebane, Joshua Mebane (Savannah Harris), Matthew Mebane and Jacob Mebane; and her great grandchildren, Cody and Tristan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Plymouth Church of Christ (905 Washington St, Plymouth, NC 27962). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
