He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Hayes and JoAnne Burton Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Creed Hayes; his son Thomas Hayes (Jenna) of Taylorsville; his sisters, Patricia Walker (Rick) of Mtn Park and Joyce Cothren of Mtn Park; his siblings-in-law, Patty Fields of Hillsville, VA, Bobby Jo and Rosie Lynch of Yadkinville; and his parents-in-law, Homer Creed and Shelbie Creed. He is also survived by two grandchildren; one great grandchild.
