He was predeceased by : his parents, Grady Llewellyn Whitaker and Wavie Lawson Whitaker; his wife Sarah Ann Rycroft Whitaker; and his sisters, Bonnie McNeil, Bessie Whitaker, Betty Spicer and Rosa Moon.
He is survived by : his sisters, Myrtle Pardue and Sandra (Curtis Hayes).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Moody-Davis Funeral Services, Inc. (215 W Kapp St, Dobson, NC 27017). A burial was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 at the Cemetery of Little Richmond Baptist. Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
