With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Powellsr. of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Madison, West Virginia, who passed away on January 8, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Pauline Powell and Harold Ray Powell; his grandparents, Charlie and Brookie Powell; his stepmother Jessie Barker Powell; his sister Patti Sue Powell Ellis; and his son Christopher Shawn Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Ann Frazier Powell; his sons, Charles Luther Powell, Jr. (Wendy) and Ashley Ray Powell (Deidre); his siblings, Debbie Powell Perdue (Jesse) and Harold Douglas Powell (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Josh (Candace), Evan (Heather), Cory (Alexandria), Caleb, Bryant, Brock, Angel (Mark), Guage, Jayson, Aaliyah, Anastasia, Kaydence, Elijah, Katurha, Colby, Bella and Ryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Baptist Children's Home of NC.
