She was predeceased by: her sisters, Margaret Jean and Jane Elizabeth Welch (Bill). She is survived by: her parents, Kenneth Alexander Westmoreland (Ken) and Sarah Elizabeth Oehler Westmoreland (Lib); her sister Mary Ellen Westmoreland Mauney (Paul) of Knightdale, NC; her nephew Christopher; and her daughter Mary Elizabeth Milstead (Mary Beth). She is also survived by many cousins from both her mother and fathers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Whitley's Funeral Home (1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing as this is where Dottie received her BSN degree.
