He was predeceased by: his parents, James Net Daye and Laura Mae Phifer Daye of Mooresville; and his brother Mark Daye. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Hamrick Daye; his children, Tawanda Hamrick of Kannapolis and Duncan Daye, Jr.; his grandchildren, Okeela Hamrick, Ahkeem Hamrick and Keenen Hamrick; and his siblings, Francene Daye of Winston Salem, NC, Tina Daye of Winston Salem, NC, Juanita Murphy of Winston Salem, NC, Sonya Daye of Troutman, NC, Shirley Daye of Statesville, NC, Steve Daye of Maryland, James Phifer (Dafney) of Statesville, NC and Jarvis Harris of Charlotte, NC.
