Starnes, Jr.; her daughter Amy Starnes Gentle of Kannapolis; her sister Earline Snipes of Kannapolis; her grandchildren, Meredith Gentle Giacommazzo (Mario), Matthew Gentle (Savannah), Leah Starnes and Lathan Starnes; and her daughter-in-law Lou Starnes.
