It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Wilkerson of Kannapolis, North Carolina, who passed away on July 3, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Britton Patterson Sr. and Myrtle Elizabeth Cline Patterson; her husband Bobby McKenzie Wilkerson; her child Rickard "Rick" David Wilkerson; and her brother A. B. Patterson.

She is survived by : her grandson Brian David Wilkerson (Cheryl) of Kannapolis; her great grandchildren, Hailey Peterson (Erin) of Morganton, NC and Brad Miller of San Diego, CA; her great great grandchild Jaxon Miller of Morganton, NC; and her sister Mildred Patterson Barringer of Kannapolis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials can be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 50003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis NC 28083.
