He is survived by: his wife Tona Alexander Benson; his daughters, Brooke Hagler (Mike) of China Grove and Whitney Benson (Marc Carmona); his brothers, Donald Wayne Benson (Sherrie) of Concord and Charles Ray Benson (Diane) of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Caitlin Kiser, Taylor McKnight, Brandon McKnight, J. J. Kiser and Kaylee Kiser; and his aunt Hazel Bacon of Salisbury.
