He was predeceased by: his parents, John Turner Bass and Teresa Ferrell Bass; and his siblings, Bethany Aman, Virginia Scott, Elgie Tedder, Buster Bass and James Henry Bass.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Lee Barnes Bass; his children, Johnny Turner Bass and Sandra Gupere-Lundquist (Steven); his grandchildren, Johnna Gupere and Dylan Gupere; his great grandchildren, Ryland Reinhard and Mikali Sliger; and his sisters, Mary Eilzabeth Jeffries and Peggy Waddell (Jackie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
