It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Dianne Kinley of Kernersville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Griffin and Arlene Hege; and her siblings, Charles Griffin, Pattie Sealey, Betsy Jane Griffin and Linda Arlene Griffin.

She is survived by: her children, Samuel Steven Chakona, Jr. (Karen) of Wallburg, Timothy Shane Chakona (Rasheedah) of Greensboro and Sherry Chakona of Kernersville; her grandchildren, Sarah Clark (Hunter), Emily Chakona and Timothy Joseph Chakona; her great grandchild Ashlea Jenean Clark; and her siblings, Dennis Griffin (Tana) of Booneville, Aubrey Griffin (Vickie) of Winston-Salem, Ricky Griffin (Debbie) of Winston-Salem, Donnie Griffin (Linda) of Raleigh, Hartley Griffin, Libby Windfielder of Yadkinville, Linda Merritt (Omar) of Winston-Salem, Sharon Sealey (Ronnie) of Winston-Salem, Debbie Wadkins of Winston-Salem, Renee Saul of Winston-Salem, Robin McDowell of Thomasville and Melody Hoots (Bobby) of Lexington.
