He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Howell Hedgecock and J. H. Hedgecock; and his brothers, John Hedgecock (Lois) and Kenneth Hedgecock. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Flynt Hedgecock; his daughters, Crystal Hedgecock Caviness (Eric Nuckles) and Melissa Hedgecock Thompson (Travis); his grandchildren, Tyler Caviness (Christy), Kelly Caviness (Seth Delbridge) and Luke Thompson; his great grandchildren, Lyric and Nimuéh Woods; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hedgecock and Kathy Flynt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church (1510 Bunker Hill Sandy Ridge Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, located at 1510 Bunker Hill-Sandy Ridge Road, Kernersville, N.C., 27284, and Hospice of the Piedmont.
