He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Nicholas Pope, Sr. and Alma Reeves Pope; his wife Gail Pope; and his sister Unita Hayden. He is survived by: his children, Mike Alan Pope (Angela), Timothy Pope (Sally), Mercia Snider (Chuck) and Terri Fearn (Eric); his grandchildren, Anna, Christian, Jessica and Gabi; his great grandchildren, Whitney and Isaiah; and his siblings, D. Brent Pope (Hiromi) and Donna Pope Atkins (Mike). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel (3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon's International at The Gideons International Forsyth East Camp at 931-E S. Main Street #217, Kernersville, NC 27285 or to Nehemiah's Few at Triad Baptist Church at 1175 South Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
