He is survived by : his wife Willene Partridge Simpson; his children, Jerrileigh Simpson-Olds (Howard), Scott Simpson (Jenni), Wendy Simpson and Toby Simpson; his brother J. D. Simpson (Joyce) of Great Bridge, VA; his sister-in-law Iris Silverthorne of Kitty Hawk, NC; his grandchildren, Scotty, Sammi Jo, Toshiana and Sol; and his great grandchildren, Terran, Brynley, Joselyn, Sam and Gwendolyn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
