He is survived by : his children, Kim Dresser (Daniel), Tonya Wagoner, Renee Wagoner (Ray), Crystal Evans (Brandon), Ruby Williams (Clint), William and Spencer Sales; his siblings, Randall Sawyers (Cookie), Harold Sawyers (Jan), Delmer Sawyers (Gaye), Ronnie Sawyers (Gylnis), Barry Sawyers (Wendy), Frances Hicks, Mickey D. Mendenhall (Vic), Debbie Wright (Travis) and Bonnie Westmoreland (James); his stepsiblings, Ricky Sechrest and Donna Sparger; and his close friend Junior Hayden (Renee).
