She was predeceased by : her parents, John Denny and Emma Denny; her husband James Gilmer "Joe" Brendle; her siblings, Marshall Denny, Bill Denny, Dovie Smith, Rhumelle Flippin and Dorothy Crystal Denny; and her grandson Chris Stoltz.

She is survived by : her son Herbert; her daughter-in-law Claudine Stoltz; her brother Vernon; her sister-in-law Jeanne Denny; her grandchildren, Wendy Stoltz and Michael Stoltz (Krysten); and her great grandchildren, Arlo Stoltz and Crosby Stoltz. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers are appreciated or Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery fund or Mountain Valley Hospice.
