He is survived by : his wife Laura of King; his daughters, Monica Lane and Erica Lane; his grandchildren, Logan of Connecticut and Haleigh Hayden of Connecticut; his siblings, Larry Steve Lane (Maureen) of Georgia and Norma Jean Lane of Connecticut; his half-brother Robert Walter Lane (Shannon); and his stepsister Janet Jackson (Schubel) of Pinnacle.

Memorial donations may be made to Friends of the Stokes Shelter, 1111 Dodgetown Rd, Walnut Cove, NC 27052.
