She is survived by: her children, Gilda Thornburg of Kings Mountain and Zoltan Thornburg (Mae) of Kings Mountain; her sister Janet Helms (Mike) of Cherryville, NC.; her grandchildren, Aaron, Rose, Myka, Joy Thornburg, Erika Fleming (Shelby), Brooke Jones (Nathan), Tristan Thornburg and Brandon Thornburg (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Zoey Griffin, Jace Quiles, Andrew Fleming, Easton Jones, Liam and Isaac Samples; and her daughter Glenda Smith. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (2738 S Post Rd, Shelby, NC 28152). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
