She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Howard T. Cook and Vernease Cook; her husband William H. Childers (Bill); her daughter Janet Lee Childers; and her brother Edward T. Cook.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Mixter (Mark A. Mixter) of Wendell, NC; her grandson Ryan W. Mixter (Martha) of Wendell, NC; her great grandchildren, H. Fox Mixter and Lincoln Mixter of Wendell, NC.; and her sisters, Juanita Scott (Hollis Scott), Martha Carder (Kitty) of Gamaliel, KY, Marjorie Abbott of Rome, GA and Sheila Robertson (Mike Robertson).
