With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Jane Fannin of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, born in Letcher, Kentucky, who passed away on April 8, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hiram Wesley Holcomb and Nettie Bentley Holcomb Taylor; and her siblings, Virginia Vanover, Billie McKinney, Otho Holcomb and Hiram Holcomb.

She is survived by : her children, Lewis Kenneth Fannin II (Melissa), Meta Fannin Macintyre, Beverly Fannin Richey Fox and Barbara Fannin Walker Thompson; and her siblings, Prince Holcomb, Georgia Hufford, Sadie Jones and Bessie Hewitt. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services (730 Gastonia Hwy, Bessemer City, NC 28016). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Via Health Partners - c/o Wendover Hospice House, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
