She was predeceased by: her husband Hunter Wells; and her siblings, Vera Turner (Coolidge), Martha Brock, Helen Grady, Estell Dean (Don), Benjamin Rogers and Emmett Rogers (Violet).
She is survived by: her children, Mitzi Wells Rasberry (Joe) of Kinston, Lisa Wells Porter (Chuck) of Cary and Baxter Hunter Wells Jr. of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Baxter H. Wells III, Olivia Wells Hodgson (Joshua), Lauren Porter Kager (William) and Michael Porter; and her brother-in-law Everette Brock.
