She was predeceased by: her husband George Skinner; her parents, Edna Stroud and William Stroud; and her siblings, Sybil Smith and Alton "Bud" Stroud.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Hines (Tony) of Kinston and Kathy Katzenberger (Greg) of Lynnwood, Washington.; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Becca Hines) of Wilmington, Brittany Hines of Kinston, Stephen (Devon Katzenberger), Kristen (Alex Casper) and Andrew Katzenberger of Washington State; and her nephew Tommy Skinner of Kinston.
