She was predeceased by: her mother Josephine Strickland Jackson; her husband Alton Hill "Pete" Hathaway; her daughter Cathy Anne Hathaway; and her brother Mitchell Strickland. She is survived by: her son Petey Hathaway; her granddaughter Meagan Stancil; and her sisters, Retha Sermons and Nancy Stallings-Justice (Frankie).
